Box braids braids with fake hair

Box braids traditionally involve creating a square (or other shape) of a strand of hair on the scalp. You can choose how big or small you want your box braids to be. Then you make a braid from a strand of hair, weaving our extensions into your own hair.

Caring for and braiding box braids

When placing your box braids, it is important that you make good separations with the right comb. Care is also important: apply a thin layer of nourishing cream. For example, sleep with a satin pillowcase, hat or scarf. This way you prevent your hair from frizzing!

How long do box braids last? 

On average, you can wear this hairstyle for 2-3 months. Of course, it depends on how fast your own hair grows and how you care for your hair. When the baby hairs emerge or tufts come loose, it's time for a fresh new style!

Of course, it takes time to create and care for your hairstyle. By giving your hair extra love, the braids can last a lot longer. For example, you can use shea butter, hair oil or cream during the application. After brewing you use braid spray to make the braids look well cared for.

Hair care for braids
